If you don’t have an antispyware program on your computer, get one NOW.

Spyware is so prevalent today that it will contaminate every Internet connected computer that is not protected from it. It will slow your computer, corrupt your hard drive, compromise your safety, steal personal information including passwords, expose you to identity theft, and leave the door open for viruses and hackers. And, if your computer is infected with spyware, it can be passed to others with whom you interact online.

Luckily, there are many excellent FREE antispyware programs to help you keep your computer spyware-free. I’ve used Ad-Aware for years and been very happy with it, but decided to try out Spyware Terminator as it has had very favorable reviews.

Here’s what I like about it:

1. You can set Spyware Terminator to automatically scan for spyware and install updates. Many free antispyware programs make you remember to do this yourself -- something that's easy to forget.

2. Spyware Terminator also comes with a Web Security Guard that has a very effective warning system you when you try to visit a malicious Web site.

There are other free antispyware programs that you may prefer; you may even use more than one. Just make sure you protect your computer with an antispyware program.
